When you come to Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey for treatment of a gastrointestinal (GI) cancer, you have a multidisciplinary team of experts dedicated to your care and wellbeing. To request an appointment, call 844-CANCERNJ.
Our GI cancer specialists perform the newest and most effective practices for diagnosing and treating pre-cancerous and cancerous conditions involving the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, rectum, pancreas, retroperitoneum, and other intra-abdominal organs.
The Gastrointestinal Oncology Program’s care team includes surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, advanced practice nurses, and oncology nurse navigators who work together to ensure that the best long-term outcome for each patient is achieved with a comprehensive, coordinated, and individualized approach. Through weekly review of patient cases and close collaboration with researchers, we offer the full spectrum of therapies and advanced treatment options including cytoreductive surgery, hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC), precision medicine, immunotherapy, and novel treatment approaches through clinical trials.
Our physicians see patients at our New Brunswick location as well as at several RWJBarnabas Health facilities across the state.
