Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Research Center of Excellence Employment Opportunities

The New Jersey Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Research Center of Excellence(NJ PHORCE) seeks to hire three faculty-level investigators with research relevant to pediatric cancer or blood disorders to apply for open rank, tenure-track faculty positions. Preference will be given to research that relates to the following fields: stem cell biology and transplantation; cellular therapies; immunotherapeutics; cancer predisposition syndromes; or gene therapies. However, candidates with experience in any research field related to the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, or basic biology of cancers and blood disorders affecting children and adolescents are encouraged to apply.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • New faculty are expected to establish an innovative, independent and collaborative research program addressing important, fundamental questions in the area of cancer biology.  Interdisciplinary and translational approaches are encouraged that establish collaborations with CINJ consortium faculty.
  • Teaching and mentorship activities, as appropriate.
  • Faculty rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.  
  • Understands and adheres to RBHS compliance standards as they appear in RBHS (legacy UMDNJ) Corporate Compliance Policy and Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.

Minimum Education/Specialty, License/Certification:
Qualified candidates must have a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D.
