About Me
I am a fellowship trained in advanced head and neck oncologic surgery with expertise in microvascular reconstruction. I received my medical degree from Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia and went on to complete my residency training in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Boston University Medical Center in Boston. I then completed a specialized fellowship training in advanced head and neck oncologic surgery and microvascular reconstruction at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. There I served as a clinical instructor and assistant professor at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
As a fellowship trained head and neck surgical oncologist and microvascular reconstructive surgeon, I treat a wide array of head and neck pathologies including those of the nasopharynx, oral cavity, oropharynx, larynx, skin cancer of the head and neck, salivary glands and thyroid/parathyroid glands. Furthermore, I have received special training in minimally invasive techniques, including transoral robotic surgery and transoral laser microsurgery.
I have published in numerous peer-reviewed journals and has participated in many scientific projects including a nationally funded grant comparing the effects of tobacco and vaping products on the airway.
I am fluent in English and Arabic. I am a member of the American Head and Neck Society, American Academy of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery, and Triological Society.
