Understanding the Role of Pepsinogen and Gut Microbiome as a Biomarker of Cancer in the Gastrointestinal Tract.

a) Evaluate potential blood biomarkers for gastric cancer and precancerous lesions and estimate its risk predicting ability.

Secondary Objectives:
a) Investigate gut microbiome composition and identify specific microbial signals associated with the presence of gastric cancer and precancerous lesions.

b) Employ the identified gut microbiome and blood biomarkers to identify patients with precancerous lesions or high risk of gastric cancer who should be screened by upper endoscopy for diagnosis of gastric cancer at an early stage.
