Laura Bond, MD
- Radiation Oncologist
I have been the Associate Medical Director of Radiation Oncology at the Steeplechase Cancer Center at Somerset Medical Center, now Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset, since it first opened to patient care in 2007. I recently joined Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey and Robert Wood Johnson Medical School as a Clinical Assistant Professor. I graduated from Jefferson Medical College and did my training in Radiation Oncology at New York University/ Bellevue Hospital where I was the chief resident. I am a member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology and am board certified by the American Board of Radiology.
I am currently involved in the care of all patients that require radiation therapy at RWJ Somerset. I have a particular interest in breast cancer and am part of the multidisciplinary committees that meet weekly to monthly for breast cancer, lung cancer, GU cancers and GI cancers. These committees have surgeons, pathologists, radiologists and oncologists so patient care can be discussed from all angles and we can maximize our expertise in treatment. I am also involved in enrolling our patients on many national protocols that are offered at our center.

Prior to your appointment, it is advisable to verify with your insurance company they are still a participating plan prior to receiving services or care. Each plan is different and some provide different levels of coverage that could make a difference in your out-of-pocket costs. It is always best for the patient receiving care to contact their insurance company to obtain more information.
