About Me

Originally from Western New York, I relocated to New Jersey to escape the snow. I joined the faculty here in Fall 2023 after moving around the northeast for the last decade for training and ultimately practicing medical oncology and hematology in northern New Jersey and downstate New York before coming here. I received my medical degree from the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at SUNY Buffalo (Buffalo, NY), then completed my internal medicine internship, residency, and chief residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University (Syracuse, NY), and finally my hematology-oncology fellowship at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University/Lifespan Hospitals (Providence, RI).

I I have been passionate about the treatment of hematologic malignancies (blood cancers) since I first began practicing hematology-oncology. Both my clinical and research focus is in acute lymphoblastic leukemia, acute and chronic myeloid leukemias, myelodysplastic syndromes, and myeloproliferative neoplasms. I have an interest in outcomes-based research and clinical trials to improve the survival and quality of life for patients with these conditions and advance the understanding and treatment of these diseases in years to come.

Another passion that I am excited to pursue at Rutgers Cancer Institute and RWJBarnabas health is medical education with medical students, residents, and fellows. I have always loved teaching trainees, patients, and families. I feel it is essential to improving medical care not just in the here and now, but potentially impacting the lives of millions of people around the world for years to come, as future doctors and doctors in training leave their training programs to enter clinical practice.
