Research Interests
- Chromatin-based regulatory mechanisms and in particular Polycomb mechanisms of chromatin silencing. Current work: genome-wide chromatin distribution of Polycomb proteins and their associated chromatin mark, histone H3 K27 trimethylation, indicates that all key developmental and differentiation pathways are under Polycomb control. This has important implications for the nature of gene regulation in the embryo, in stem cells and oncogenesis.
