Research Interests

• Minority health services research to eliminate cancer health disparities, focusing on cancer prevention, education and screening of the minority population through community based service and research. As such, my research objectives are to 1) understand the community needs for cancer prevention and education, 2) implement culturally and linguistically appropriate cancer education programs that would increase cancer awareness, improve screening, and reduce barriers, and 3) examine the impact of culture, literacy, and behavioral factors on cancer prevention.
