Research Interests

• Current interests in cancer research are focused on two new projects in survivorship, including 1) how elderly cancer survivors' health beliefs and cancer worry affect their behaviors in managing other chronic illnesses, and how these can be affected by interactions with nursing staff
• And 2) how effective physician-nurse communications can improve care for cancer survivors in long term care. Related research interests focus on patient/provider trust and health literacy among underserved populations.
