- Research involves mathematical modeling of problems in the biological, social behavioral, and environmental sciences in special interests in epidemiological modeling, operations research methods, issues arising in homeland security, and the theory of measurement and decision making. More specifically the interest in economics of health care, biosurveillance, data mining and biological data, bioinformatics and phylogeny.
