Location The Transgenic/Knock-out Mouse Shared Resource is located in the Child Health Institute of New Jersey (CHI) building, the site of the RWJMS Vivarium on the New Brunswick campus. Dr. Bhaumik’s office and laboratory space are located within the CHI building, as are the microinjection suite and mouse holding rooms, located within the state-of-the-art barrier facility. Located on the basement level of the CHI building, a 22,500 square foot AAALAC accredited barrier mouse animal facility supports the in vivo research of the institute. This facility includes state-of-the-art animal room housing, procedural rooms, an irradiation room, and a transgenic gene targeting suite. The facility can house more than 9,000 mouse cages in ventilated exhausted racks.
