Through direct consultation, review, and close interactions with CINJ members, the Survey Research and Qualitative Methods Shared Resource facilitates clinical and population based research through provision of support services for data collection, data management and database construction.

The Methods Shared Resource promotes cancer prevention and control research by providing CINJ investigators with high quality, efficient and low-cost assistance on the design and implementation of cancer-related surveys and interview studies. It specializes in providing consultative and analytic expertise on the best ways to measure outcomes derived by self-report and provides in-house research support services for the collection of outcomes data. The overall purpose of the Methods Shared Resource is to support population and clinical research that involves collecting, analyzing or interpreting self-report data.

Objectives of the Methods Shared Resource are to:

  • Provide technical assistance to CINJ members for design of survey and qualitative research protocols for cancer related clinical and population science studies.
  • Serve as a Shared Resource for the collection of survey based and qualitative research data.
