Genomic Instability and Tumor Progression Program

Overall Goals:

The overall goals are to uncover how genomic instability and cellular signaling pathways contribute to cancer invasion, dissemination and metastasis, and to identify new approaches to the prevention and treatment of cancer progression.

Specific Aims:

Identify and exploit mechanisms of genomic instability that contribute to cancer progression.
Identify and exploit mechanisms of cancer invasion, dissemination and metastasis.

Our expectation is that understanding the role of genomic instability and of critical signaling pathways in cancer progression will result in the development and clinical validation of novel therapeutic strategies for cancer.
