Centralized Education and Training Services for Clinical Research Personnel - Equipment
All members of the CETS have a personal computer and network access to the full complement of specialized computer hardware and software, printers, facsimile machines, scanners, and photocopiers to support CETS activities. In addition, the CETS has purchased two Dell Inspiron 2000 laptops with external speakers and a Dell 3100 MP LCD projector for faculty use during educational programs. Additional equipment to assist in program material development includes a Sony DSC-P10 Cybershot digital camera, a Wacom graphics tablet, a Cannon Canoscan N070U scanner, laser pointers, and foldout display boards for presenters. Specialized software supported by the department includes Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat (full version), QuarkXpress, Macromedia MX Suite (Flash, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, and Freehand), Micromedia Director, Sonic Foundry SoundForge and Sonic Foundry Acid. This software is used to develop program materials (slides, compact disks, etc.) and communications (flyers, brochures, calendars) regarding the educational programs.
