William Wood Allen

William Wood Allen is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of WoodAllen Capital Management, LLC, a global macro hedge fund and commodity trading advisor that is located in his hometown of Princeton, New Jersey. Mr. Allen has been in the hedge fund industry since graduating from college and has worked for such business luminaries as Caxton Corporation, Goldman Sachs, and Kingdon Capital Management. A 1990 graduate of Franklin and Marshall College, in Lancaster, PA, Mr. Allen was a dual major in Government and American Studies, played varsity lacrosse, and was president of the Chi Phi fraternity. Mr. Allen matriculated from The Lawrenceville School, in Lawrenceville, NJ.

Mr. Allen and his wife Vivian deBoer have two children, Gwendolynn, and Hunter. Mr. Allen is a significant supporter of a number of charities including Robin Hood, Harlem Children Zone, Eastside House, and is also a partner in the Acumen Fund. in addition to sitting on the board of Crawford House, a New Jersey based half way house for women recovering from alcohol and drug dependence, Mr. Allen is the 2004 honoree of that charity in recognition of his service and commitment. Mr. Allen is also a Selector for The Lawrenceville School, with the responsibility of targeting and nominating candidates for their Board of Trustees.
