Physician Profile

I have been at The Cancer Institute of New Jersey since July 2003, and I specialize in treating patients with gynecologic, breast and prostate cancers. Along with assistance from the multidisciplinary teams within CINJ, I help patients navigate their treatment options so that they can make an informed decision as to what is right for them.
Ever since completing my internship at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital and residency at Henry Ford Hospital, I have had a special interest in helping patients through the process of cancer diagnosis, treatment and survival in the way most comfortable for them. I have a particular interest in both low- and high-dose rate brachytherapy to treat gynecologic malignancies. Being part of a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, I have the opportunity to further explore and validate patient education and support programs, analyze and improve the outcomes of highly technical cancer treatments, and work closely with my colleagues to provide outstanding care.
As a member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) Gynecologic Malignancies Review Board, I enjoy interacting with clinical leaders throughout the country. I also particularly enjoy my interaction with Quality and Information Technology specialists from the Commission on Cancer and the National Cancer Data Base. In my role as Director of the CINJ Network of affiliated hospitals, I enjoy collaborating with multiple institutions in the design, implementation and objective evaluation of quality improvement measures that affect almost one third of the patients treated in New Jersey for cancer.
